Who are we? Ø IAWIS is a select group of who serve as Wellspring’s student leadership team. Ø IAWIS is a non-profit organization with a mission of promoting English speaking environment in English integrated extracurricular activities. Ø IAWIS works to enhance mutual understanding and friendship through educational, cultural, and humanitarian activities involving the exchange of ideas and experiences directly among students and teachers. At IAWIS, we are excited to provide you -- our valued members -- with ongoing opportunities to experience the positive environment, receive certificates of contribution, and we look forward to celebrating in 2017 the 2nd anniversary with you. I/ Benefits Taking part in IAWIS, you will have opportunities to: · Practice management skills, improve your organization skills · Get better social networking · Sharpen your English · Exercise leadership skills · Build your CV for your university scholarship application · Receive certificates of achievement · Enhance mutual understanding and friendship II/ Registration Criteria: - Last year’s English average was at least 80% - GPA for all subjects: 7.5 at least - Application in the form of a poster or story to answer these questions: 1. Why do you choose to join IAWIS? 2. What is your desired position? 3. What would you do if you were selected to be an Ambassador? Be creative and don’t forget to have a photo of you in the poster! Note: Students will get a stamped A3 paper from the Secondary International Department. III/ Structure of IAWIS · The name of each group of ambassadors is based on the core values that Wellspring teachers and students always desire. · Each Ambassador group has 4-5 members, one of them is the leader of the whole group. · The total number of the IAWIS is about 20 – 25 students from all classes. · There is one student will be voted/ selected to be the Chief Ambassador to work closely with the International teachers and the school.
